Had three tackles for the Vikings first preseason game. Do you think he makes the team?

Good try, but he has not had any ACL surgeries. I think your thinking of Edds. I think Nielsen has a good shot to make the team since he is similar to Greenway, and the Vikes love them some greenway.

Yes, I was thinking of Edds. I'm starting to get the former players mixed up in my mind. Nielson had the neck injury in 2010 against Michgan.

But he isn't Greenway.

Yes, he is like him. He is white and from a small town, I guess, and they both play coverage linebacker positions. Of course Greenway was a first round draft pick and one of the top two linebackers in the B10.

I am a huge Viking fan, and they can use a good outside linebacker. Heck, they can use a good middle linebacker. I think he CAN stick, but I don't now what kind of odds to give on it. I do know that Jasper Brinkley will have to prove himself to me before I believe he is a long term solution at MLB for Minnesota.

I think what he meant was he is big and fast....because of injuries and talent ahead of him his potential has not yet been reached. Not saying it will but he is very athletic.

Tyler was waived on Saturday by the Vikes. Hopefully he will be picked up somewhere or make a practice squad.
