Tyler Cook

OK, I get it, but what goes around comes around, so don't be all pizzed off if they meet again and Bryant gives it right back. Live by the smack, die by the smack. I prefer the old Tom Landry line (paraphrased) about handing the ball to the ref after you score a touchdown - Act like it's no big deal, you've been there before.

I tend to agree. That said, Cook didn't say anything or get in his face and wasn't demonstrative. He just walked away with that look...it was kinda awesome.

Watch Pemsl though, that dude has an edge to him. He's kinda sneaky with it, but he shoulder bumps a lot of guys when walking by. He's pretty dang crafty on the court. The kind of guy I love for Iowa, but would hate him on another team. Come to think of it, we have few of those guys...I like it.

Jake Jaacks? Guess he was more overt with his "edge" :)

IDK. He didn't say a word and didn't approach Bryant. That was just unbridled intensity. In my mind, he couldn't have handled it better.

If he can get any kind of a mid range shot going and be a little quicker and more decisive on his post moves. He has a bit of Charles Barkley in him where he likes to pound his dribble over and over till he's ready to go up. He favors going left and might be getting a bit predictable with it. But when he starts to put it all together look out.

agreed...Intensity. Love that focus. This team is full of young, talented, intense athletes that want to win. Only missing component is experience, but that will come

Some good comments in this thread! I would just add that Tyler, Cordell and now even Kriener are going to be a whole lot of fun to watch over the next 3 years. That is 15 fouls we can give up in the post, if nothing else. Wagner will continue to get some quality minutes and rumor has it that we have a couple of front line recruits who will make a splash. Like very much what I see going forward.

Tyler's rebounding and defense were much better tonight. Obviously the 10 boards and he also had 2 steals a few deflections and a big block.

He was close to a couple other steals too. They were the kind of steals where you could tell his head was in the game and he saw the play coming instead of just gambling.
