TX QB Peyton Mansell Sees He and Eno Benjamin Being Dynamic Duo

He looks like a great offer - what sort of level is the competition in his current league, bc he really outshines these defenses. Is he THAT good but just overlooked / underrated by Rivals, Scout, and 247, or is he playing against mediocre competition?
 
Kinda looks like Tate to me (his footwork). But with a lower release and tucks the ball more. Also his receivers do a good job of breaking off routes to come back to the ball. I'd say there seems to be potential.

I'd be happy with a kid like him or Fields. Offering this kid will put some heat on Fields possibly. Don't think Iowa will be giving out 2 qb schollies this yr...
 
Doesn't have a rocket for an arm but his release looks quick and compact. Good wheels. Course, the offer list doesn't overwhelm.
 
So basically what happened is the coaching staff passed on Kam Fields and want Peyton instead if I'm reading the tea leaves correctly? Looks like Kam is heading to Minnesota most likely so we will be able to face him. He'll have a chip for sure.
 
I don't think the staff passed on Fields. They found a QB they equally as well who appears to be ready to commit earlier.
 
Unless something changes in the next 10 days, I'd put my money on Mansell being our QB in this class. He's still planning camping with Minnesota on June 18th, the day after he visits here. We'll see.
