Two positions cost Iowa that game

Quarterback and head coach:

- Quarterback for an absolutely atrocious game: missed targets, poor throws; lack of field vision; poor on-field decision making; seemed totally rattled.

- Head coach for leaving a struggling leader of the offense in the entire game; awful clock and game management in crunch time; benching the best running back for ONE fumble.

They both get F’s for their performances. They failed the guys up front and on the other side of the line.

The rest of the Hawkeyes were the better team on the field yesterday but those two were not. Penn State did not win that game. Iowa lost it.

I agree. But I would add the OC in their as well. I loved listening to the announcers commenting on the lack of targets the TEs got last night.

It seemed like the staff got tight and went back to what they knew. Outside zone runs to the short side.
