Two points!

May & McCabe killed Iowa tonight. They combined for two points in 42 minutes of action. McCabe did have five rebounds but turned the ball over four times.

In addition, their defense appeared to be as bad as their offense numbers. To me, they appear lost on the court.

Outside of Taylor's OT three, I thought May played pretty well on the defensive side.

Would have been nice to see him get the oops down though, they didn't replay it on TV so it was hard to say if it was his fault or Cartwright's.

I agree. I thought for the most part May did a nice job of limiting Taylor's ability to get into the lane.

You don't have a bad night defensively and hold Jordan Taylor scoreless for the entire first half. That just doesn't happen. May and Marble were both able to keep Taylor from doing what he wanted to do for much of the game.

May should have done a better job contesting Taylor's three in OT, but overall he played a very good game defensively.

May would be a nice guy coming off the bench to concentrate on defense and some hustle plays on O. But the Hawks need someone at that spot that can be counted on as a real scorer. Really see May and McCabe as local boy types that we love to cheer for when the get in the game, but would much rather have a kid like Basabe and Cartwright who can exert his will more.

Very telling to me that Fran had Marble on the floor for much of that overtime after May sagged off the 3 pointer by Taylor and was also late coming around the screen on the 2 in regulation. If anyone noticed it was Marble on Taylor on that last possession that forced a tough shot. Marble needs to be seeing more time. He's aggressive.
