Two Indiana players forced to sit out nine games by NCAA



A bit overboard. I don't consider myself a booster even though I once sent $50 to the I-Club back in 2008.
 


the NCAA just released a report on how they were going to come down harder by stiffening the rules this summer,
this is just a indication of the new standards going into effect
 




You would think that given Indiana's recent penchant for cheating, that the NCAA might be a little more strict with them than they apparently are. In any event, these two young men will be able to return just before the Big Ten starts with their trip to Iowa.

I am all for the NCAA taking a more ridged stance on academic and monetary fraud but unless there is more to this story this punishment seems excessive.

I would question that there isn't more to this if Indiana simply rolls over and accepts it without arbitration.
