The hawks at #18 in both polls while PSU at 17 and 16. PSU lost a starting D tackle last week and may have a couple more out. The hawks are showing very good depth but really cant afford to lose any starters

Some have reported that PSU giving up chunks of running yards so perhaps the hawks can be very balanced moving the ball.

One thing for sure the hawks need a quick start to help take that crowd out of it. Remember in '09 when PSU had a long quick TD pass, then a long drive which only netted 3 points. Then that great hawk defense started to smother them and before you know it the hawks were leading and the crowd was out of it.

Would love to see a repeat except with the hawks striking first and often while frustrating the PSU offense

I recall that game and that long bomb by Daryl Clark. Thought oh wow we are screwed, but then...! So I saw Juwan Johnson jacked up his ankle and Garret Taylor has to miss the first half for a targeting call again Indianas Qb. Who is the DT and do you know of any others they may he missing? Franklin said they had alot of injuries and banged up guys. He said maybe the most he had seen in one game. Hate to see starters go out and we want them at full strength but Iowa has had its fair share of injuries this year as well and dealt with accordingly!

Line should be PSU giving 3. Going to be a good old fashioned big ten slobber knocker. Very winnable for Iowa

We go as Stanley goes in my opinion. If he plays well and we don't turn it over. I really think we win this game. I think we have a better defense and our offense can hang with the way Penn State's is playing right now.

This will be an interesting game for our defense. We haven't faced an offense this talented with a quarterback quite like this. It will be a good challenge and a good measure of where we are.
