Turn the Paige

I don't think we should get too greedy here. It would definitely be nice to get Paige as well, but I'm not so sure there wouldn't be issues between Gessel and Paige feuding over the point position. If we did get him, I'm not sure who would be better suited to play the 2 spot.
 
Be careful... It could work both ways. Maybe ol' Roy's thinkin' how he can use the next two months to turn Woodbury back his way. I'm thinkin' Roy doesn't much cotton to kids telling him no...especially when they say no and go to... Iowa? :)

What would be great, IMHO, is for Barta to get on the phone and arrange a four-game, home-and-home series with North Carolina, starting next season. Wouldn't that be interesting? Of course, it might mean dropping the Sisters of the Sisters of the Poor, but sometimes ya just gotta do what ya gotta do...
 
I think the only reason Ol' Roy Boy recruited Adam was to make sure he did not lose the #1 rated point guard prospect in the nation! stay out of our state Roy you are not welcome, Marcus come to Iowa and be part of the resurrection!!

I know everyone on here hates when a recruit decommits from Iowa and goes elsewhere, saying "It's a committment, don't kids know the meaning of that any more". I think he stays in NC, though I'd love for him to be a hawk, I don't think it happens.
 
Hes been committed to UNC for like a year now I just dont see this happening, and from what Ive heard it doesnt sound like he was ever all that interesting in sticking around anyway.

Marcus, I know you want to go to North Carolina and go to the final four. But you mean to tell me that if you came to Iowa, that a starting line up of you, Mike, Devyn, Melsahn and Adam isn't going?

If I'm Fran, I let the Paiges know that the door is still open, (until it's closed) and then I move on trying to take advantage of the momentum I have going with other qualty players.

I make sure that my existing comitments know that they are still my top guys and know exactly where they stand in my plans.

Roy isn't going to be a huge problem because he knows his time is better spent elsewhere right now.

I think that there is a shot that Paige reconsiders and opens his recruitment but from everything I have read it sounds like a very very long shot. Things I have read lead me to believe that it's been UNC all along for him.But who knows, maybe he is that close to his teammates and or sees an opportuinty here that he didn't see months ago. You never know.
 
If your using the "paige should come play with his friends" argument, forget it. The fact is they are friends when they play basketball, but outside of that they arent real close
 
He's been a Heels fan his whole life. Being from Iowa doesn't mean you are an Iowa fan. He has never wanted to play for Iowa. When will the people on this board drop the thought of him switching?
