Tucker toast at MSU

Someone may have posted this already but Tucker is Toast at MSU.

That's what happens when you're not master of your domain.....

He better be careful if he's considering hand modeling as his next gig.

Has his career cume to a climax? If they had kept him things could have gotten sticky.

-Hitting on a sexual assault counselor is genius, like passing a police car or shopping at work after you called in sick. Millions thrown away, some people have the luxury to be that stupid.

Forget the possible criminal part of what he did for a second. Just attempting to start something with her at all to begin with is beyond dumb and should be fireable to me. Could anyone imagine KF at any point of his career pulling any such shit? God no. Supposedly coaches are to be held to a higher standard to be leading these young players.

IDC about if MSU has to end up paying him or not. Which is what 98% of this is all about now anyway. To me MSU was dumb to extend him with such a monstrosity of a contract to begin with and it's awfully convenient for them to try and weasel out of it now. I don't think Tucker deserves it but I don't think MSU deserves to get out of it either. It'll take awhile to sort that out I bet.

I haven't dived too deep.
It looks like he's doubling down a bit and coming out swinging.
Some of it is a total hit and miss. He tried to hit them with FMLA right before he got suspended saying he had a serious medical condition. Also is blaming the university's actions for causing turmoil in his family. Whatever, pal.

On the flip side, MSU did not handle this well and has potentially exposed themselves (more than he did to the assault counselor...heyooo!!!!!!) somewhat legally if what he's saying about the timeline is true. So, there could be some goodly money coming his way.

On the flip-flip side, MSU was in between a rock and hard place, underneath concrete ceiling. You're playing "he said/she said" until you gather enough evidence or can point to some other contractual thing to take action. But the heat came down before they had that....and in this day and age, you have to act.

Especially if you've ever had a certain gymnastics doctor linked to your athletic department.

In my opinion this whole thing is an intersection where opportunity met circumstances.

Were there people who wanted to out Him? I'm sure there were

Was she deliberately seeking to take him down at that time. I doubt it.

Was she open to persuasion? I'll speculate that she was

If someone who wanted to take him down also discovered that this happened, would they encourage her to out him ...and if she got something in return would that make sense? I think so.

I wonder if her non-profit has gotten some nice donations. Or if she got cash under the table for a finders fee by those who wanted to out him.

I bet you blame the CIA if your milk expires.

The first and most important rule to remember is a case like Tucker's usually turns on very granular facts. If there is no direct evidence each person's specific testimony is going to be tried on circumstantial evidence.

Tucker has already admitted a sexual relationship existed by claiming his conduct was consensual. That admission creates dozens or hundreds of relevant facts. I would opine, waxing the roadster while on a telephone or video call does not sound like the behavior of most 50-year men so his credibility is damaged by that circumstance.

Sparty has not looked good. Institutional issues are already at play. Any large employer that had the Nassar scandal in its recent past would be very cautious and likely to err on the credibility of the complainant, exculpatory facts notwithstanding. That circumstance certainly helps Tucker.

The idea that Tucker has institutional enemies is hardly unrealistic. Dantonio still has a large following up there that feel he was a scapegoat. Quickly bringing Dantonio back in any capacity, as Sparty already said it has done, is certainly evidence that someone with a big chair was looking for an excuse to fire Tucker and/or reinstate Dantonio. That kind of corporate murder happens every day.
