Nico's got serious skill. I wonder if he'll redshirt this year? I'd assume so.

My guess is that he's one of at least two and probably three DB's that don't redhshirt. I'd say he, Lomax, and Campbell are three most likely DB's not to RS. Prater's corner spot will be completely open next year, the other spot will lack depth, and there's the decided possibility that they'll look for a talent upgrade. Law, will likely play ST's and get his feet wet at safety. Of the three the most likely to redshirt is probably, Campbell. His CB technique may not be as developed as Lomax's(DeMatha, has very good prep coaching) but, his athleticism may make him an asset of ST's.

So, much for the big, slow Big Ten team mantra. At least on defense...Iowa will likely start a four a DL that will average under 270 pounds(I expect this will change in upcoming years with some big DL coming in and Carl Davis possibly winning a starting spot) and a LB corp that will average under 230. I'd like them bigger, but they're mainly strong, and that will help make up for a lack of size.

Even the OL isn't anything like a typical UW line. It'll be bigger than last year's but still average comfortably below 300 pounds. Interesting that one of the Big Ten's consistently most physical teams is also consistently one of it's lightest.
