Tracy is boilering up

He had 15 catches this year and he will double it, may even triple it next year with Purdue. I am fine moving forward with Bruce and Johnson. Will be even more stoked if Charlie Jones comes back.

Hes a slot/gadget wr at best. He wont be the next David Bell I can promise you that.
Purdue already has some other WRs (Wright, Sheffield) that are going to drive Phil Parker crazy so I agree that it's not like Tracy is about to put up Bell numbers. But he should see 4-6 touches a game and gets the chance to play closer to home. For a class act, can't complain about the move.

I liked Tracy better than Ragaini. Maybe Ragaini was a better blocker, I really have no idea, but man I got tired watching him drop balls

Yeah, it was like Ragaini was just having a really bad day, but then it continued into the next game or whenever and seemed like a deep, horrible batter’s slump – totally illogical relative to his earlier positive performances. Fingers crossed for the bowl game – he’ll get his chance.

This is a good landing spot for him and I think he will do fine. Transferring is always a crap shoot for both sides and more often than not it is a bust. But, I can certainly see the many reasons he wanted a change of scenery. If he didn't want to be here and try to earn more PT, it was best for both sides to move on.

Still with Tracy?oh well. Think both sides tried. Too hard? Maybe. Pressing on both sides.

Unfortunately for Tracy his former coach running plays was Brian, his dad uses the forward pass as an accessory, the line sucks, and the QBs might add up to 4stars between them.

It's a perfect landing spot for him. He still gets to play in the big boy leagues, gets to stay very close to home, and has a coach who might better utilize his talents. But knowing Purdue, the WR room may be a little crowded.

Since Purdues Qb is coming back (I think he's pretty darn good even besides tearing us apart) I think Tracy should have a great time playing there with him. Good for him. He deserves to have fun. Iowa clearly had little use for him so we can't bitch about him going. Not even a little bit. We shoulda had way more of a problem with a guy like Martin leaving how he did (he coulda been starting this yr and catching a ton of balls for us this yr) then Tracy who as good as he could be sometimes was hardly playing and just about never being targeted when he was.

Saw Hawaii offered him. Man don't you at least take the visit before saying no?!?!?

IMO the consensus was most of had issues with Martin leaving and have been totally supportive of Tracy leaving. I'd also say with absolutely nothing against him, that I think Johnson and Bruce's emergence have been the biggest contributing factor to him leaving. I think he made the right choice and I'm excited for his opportunity to play at Purdue and the potential that Johnson and Bruce have going forward.

I kinda thought Raginni was stealing Tracys thunder as well as Bruce for a lot of this season anyway. We just don't know how practices went and how they break down how they use all of them. Jones played alot too. The breakdown of how many snaps Tracy got on the field compared to the others would be interesting to know.

So he had like 65 catches for less then 900 yards and 5 TDs for us. Any chance he matches that in 1 yr with Purdue? I'm not sure he does only because they do spread the ball out there alot but he could come close to it. I think he's a 50 plus catch guy and could have been for us. I think he's capable of it.
