Toussaint Time Today

Toussaint has averaged 13.4 a game this season. Today, he played only 7 minutes and Ulis played twice as many minutes. I know Joe T got poked in the eye in second half but Ulis was in the game more in that he was in the first half. Anybody have any insights?

Yep. I'd guess it was just Fran not pushing him too hard coming off the injury. I don't see it as any reason to be concerned.

I think the ankle coupled with the eye, Fran decided to play it cautious. Jordan has been playing well and w/ Connor out I think Fran was more comfortable with having more sure ball handlers in this game. Not that Joe T is a bad ball handler, but he’s more prone to making a bad decision at this point in his career and Iowa couldn’t afford it in this game, again, with one of its best ball handlers out.

This is what I thought when his minutes were low in the first half. he probably tested it out, but wasn't able to be as quick as usual with it. Ulis came in and picked up some of the minutes he may have had and did well.
