After the Michigan finish, talk on ESP was about top finishes of all time.

The plays mentioned included the Doug Flutie Hail Mary to beat Miami on the last play of the game. My question is why is that play any bigger than the Iowa td pass that won the Capital One bowl?

because that was the play that won Flutie the Heisman. I agree though that as far as hail mary's at the end of the game, its nothing special.

The Play wouldn't be nearly as cherished if the band didn't come onto the field. I think that's why it's considered the greatest (even tho it was played by teams who had like 5 & 6 wins). It encompasses the pageantry of college football that way. Honestly otherwise it's just another crazy lateral play. Trinity college had an even crazier one a few years ago that I bet no one remembers. Context is a huge part of these plays, and any ranking is going to be very subjective.
