I hate to discuss Iowa State, but somewhat shocking is the fact that they have the 16th ranked defense against the run this year..giving up 110 per game. That coupled with a very conservative game plan...would make sense as to why our game came down to the fourth quarter. They weren't chopped liver as some suggested.
The fact that they are playing good football and playing defense helps Iowa's position. NIU, is also 21st against the run...and we manhandled them in the second half.
