The Hawkeyes have always had the benefit of that great black-and-gold color scheme (and a fantastic logo somewhat obscurely inspired by a fictional nickname given to the hero of James Fenimore Cooper's "The Last of the Mohicans" -- hey, the 1800s were weird). The floor at Carver-Hawkeye Arena has almost always used it well.

That pic they showed of Iowa's court is classy. One person commented how bad the court looks. I imagine that persons house is painted purple with green trim.

I do love our color scheme and like the court so much better that we changed the borders back to black from the previous stint of being gold ... Looks sharp and a little intimidating at the same time ... Now ... let's protect that home court!
