The facts of this case are superfluous and frivolous, IMO, but I'd really like to know what was the pressure and which groups brought the pressure to bear on the NFL in this case.

The equipment guys changed their stories as time went on and Brady lied about even knowing them yet had texted & called him... The guy called himself the 'deflator' like a year before this... So yeah there's no smoking gun or anybody ratting, and we are talking about slightly underinflated footballs for crying out loud. The main issue the league is suspending him and coming down on the team for is the lack of cooperation/lying period. If the Pats did 'nothing' wrong then why are the equipment guys currently suspended by the team not the league? That makes no sense... The only reason this got this far was because those equipment guys had company issued phones... The Pats were hoping if everyone kept their mouths shut this would go away but yet those texts are just enough to call them to the carpet for it. This isn't a legal issue. My boss can do worse then that to me for less...
