Hill had already committed to ISU when Iowa's offer came in. I was surprised Iowa ended up offering after he already committed to ISU.

What makes Darboh # 1? stats arent that flashy. What if Darboh went to school at say Indianola. Would he still be numero uno?

I knew he had committed to ISU prior to the Iowa offer, but hadn't heard that he reaffirmed his committment after the Iowa offer. I was suprised we offered as well.

Probably has to do with him being the highest ranked Iowa kid by most recruiting services. He has a lot of big time offers.

High school stats are not the be-all, end-all. Have to look at what the player does in context. Darboh has an impressive list of schools pursuing him. His measurables are very good.

Wide receivers are among the toughest players to project. When they are dependent upon another player to get the ball in the first place, things get complicated. That said, I've seen Darboh play. He's the real deal. He didn't do much at all in the state championship game.....until the fourth quarter, when he absolutely took over the game (which is pretty difficult for a WR to do). If we manage to sign him, it will be a very, very big addition.

IMO Antoine Politte was head and shoulders above Darboh at this point in H.S. and he wasn't near as heavily recruited as Darboh when he was entering his senior year at Indianola.

I've seen Darboh play several times and still can't figure out why he is ranked so high?

So I guess I think that if he went to Indianola he wouldn't be # 1.

Who cares, he deserves to be ranked #1 just based on his offers alone. What did Christian French ever do to deserve his ranking?

This is a very top heavy class this year. Those top 5 guys look like legit D1 players.

The rest of them...not so much.
