Top 10 College Football Play-By-Play Announcers

Here's a link to one man's opinion. Several from the Big 10. I've never listened to any of them, but I do love to listen to Dolph (and Ed, of course) Anyone familiar with these other voices?

Country full of great radio play-by-play announcers* - Frank Giardina - Charleston Daily Mail - West Virginia News and Sports -

Havent heard any of them - in my opinion listening to Dolph is very frustrating. Hard to follow exactly what is going on during the game when he's calling it. Great voice and a great guy but not the best game caller by any stretch. Cant beat his TOUCHDOWN IOWA!!!!! call tho

Agree that Dolph can be frustrating to understand/know what is going on. I think they are both great "color" guys, but the play-by-play leaves a bit to be desired.

I really like listening to them AS I WATCH THE GAME! Not so much when I cannot watch too.

I think Dolph does great job. Just try listing to Cyclone coverage from John Walters and you'd be thankful we have Dolph. He's head and shoulders above Walters.

I think Walters does a good job; he's no more of a homer than Gary is.

On tv, I think Mark Jones and Sean McDonough both do a good job.

Dolph's problem is he describes everything as "amazing" or "unbelievable."
Really Dolph, a ten yard pass in the flat is far from the most amazing play I have ever witnessed.
