Too early for Stubhub?

So I'm looking to buy 5 tickets off of StubHub to the Iowa vs Arizona game in September and I had a few questions:

1 - How can tickets already be posted this early? At Iowa we JUST started the ticket app process and I'm assuming Arizona isn't too far ahead of us and they haven't received their tickets yet.

2 - If I buy tickets this early and I'm assuming whoevers selling them doesn't even have them in physical possession, do I just have to wait until they receive them?

3 - Has anyone else ever bought tickets off of StubHub this early before a season? What was your experience?

Stubhub has a money back deal or they will get you replacement tickets if available at no cost. That would be the only reason why I could see people putting tickets up there already. I would assume they are season ticket holders that will be getting the same seats this year so that would be why they are up there.

I wouldn't buy seats this early though, but that's just me.

I purchased mine off stub hub already.Said they would be shipped first week in Sept.,I paid $80 for two that's with there commission.Bought and sold tickets with stub hub with no problems.

This should answer your question. I purchased tickets on stubhub for the Rose Bowl. This was before tickets even were available, and before we knew Iowa wasn't going to the Rose bowl. I ended up re-selling them on stubhub myself. When I called stubhub to make arrangements for the seller I bought them from to mail them to the person who bought them from me, she told me that the tickets were originally bought by a corporation or corporate sponsor. People who are posting tickets right now on stubhub for events in the future are normally either season tickets holders, corporate sponsors, or corporations with tickets. You'll be ok purchasing as stubhub has a nice guarantee.

oh, Yes you will have to wait until the seller physically gets the tickets. In the case of the rose bowl. the seller I bought them from didn't physically get the tickets until a couple days before the rose bowl. Stub hub was awesome in the fact that they were able to bypass me and have my seller send the tickets directly to my buyer.
