Anyone heard anything from or about how Toks is doing after leaving the team? He and his family were pretty tight-lipped about everything with his brain injury stuff (which is perfectly sensible), and I don’t see that he’s back playing football anywhere. I know it was pretty serious what was going on.

Not looking for any specifics at all, just wondering how the kid is doing. I felt horrible for him when it happened because he had what I thought was a lot of potential and his teammates all said he was a really good dude.

Toks is doing well. I think he is done with football.

I've reached out to him a few times to write a story about what he went through. He's agreed but then backed away. Maybe I'll try again when things slow down here after spring football.

I don't recall how or when he suffered the injury? Was it on the football field? Is Iowa in any way liable for his injury, or was it even an injury?

I believe he was very talented in music, and had pretty diverse musical interests. Hopefully he has found a way to pursue that passion since the football passion was taken away.
