I'm glad Barta sucked it up, acknowledged the mistake and canned him, but with the talk about the price of Ferentz's buyout, I don't get the leverage these coaches get in negotiating contracts that reward them so handsomely for failure.

There ought to be a sliding scale in these buyout clauses that are based on performance. The worse you do, the lower the buyout figure.
