Do you guys get Hawk Talk Daily delivered to your inbox? I do and I think it is a pretty good source of information on Hawkeye athletics. But as I read today's version, I noticed this comment by the author, Rick Klatt when describing the lack of ticket sales for the women's basketball tournament:
The guy is good at reporting, but query why we have a Saluki Tavern Hawk reporting this stuff. Do we not have enough qualified U of I grads? Why isn't Tork running this thing? The guy has a HN Pulitzer. Sorry I don't have a link of the piece in its entirety, it seems they don't publish these on the interwebs.
Way back when as a student at Southern Illinois University in Carbondale -- which, by the way, is tucked away in one of the prettiest regions of the Midwest -- I was introduced to the four P's of marketing: Price, Product, Place, and Promotion.
