To sum up the Perrault's of the world.

IMO, what you have going on right now is a direct result of the RUMOR's that were created over the last few days. For days we have seen Matt Perrault tweet little messages insinuating that things are going to be real BAD and referencing the titanic and telling Iowa fans to "hold on tight". This all manifested itself into the supposed bomb shell of a story concerning the Iowa football program.

Fast forward to today and we basically got nothing other than what was already knew. Today reporter's gathered, hoping to hear some damning information/evidence that the Iowa football program was in peril. What the Perrault's of the world got was nothing close to as damning as what they thought they were going to get. We all know that negativity sells. It sells in the work place, around the water cooler. It brings "ratings" to sports shows.

Tonight, you have the Perrault's of the world being let down because they didn't get to hear what they thought they were going to hear, so know they are trying to take a different angle to drum up some negativity/controversy. Why can't Perrault just man up and say, "You know what, I was wrong. I took rumors and was basically displaying them as facts". "I apologize to anyone that I offended, first and foremost the Iowa football program." Why couldn't he have just said that. He was wrong. But, no, no, he has to now try to start a witch hunt on which players knew and which didn't, beginning with Ricky Stanzi.

Matt Perrault at one point today late in the show said, "well, who's name am I suppose to use"? What?! Why use anyone's name? How about not going on a witch hunt and just start slinging crap as Mr. Howe told him. You don't need a name Matt, it's none of your business. You got your press conference and didn't get to hear what you thought you were going to. Live with it. Stop trying to make a story. Great job Rob Howe!

The media has no accountabilty, but the stations that continue to employ clowns like this need to act. Muckraking is not journalism, defamation of character is not journalism, when classless people drum up something off of rumor and fall back to the ol' "Free Speech" it bothers me. The only way for the public to make a difference is continue to bombard the station with their opinions. As I always say: "At some point, the right thing will be said or written and someone will pay attention, until that time there is nothing to do but hope someone does pay attention."

Matt Perrault is nothing more than a paid internet message board guy. Him and I were having a lively debate on twitter, and he suggested that I check some message boards; that they would prove him right.

Matt Perraults "source" through all of this was the premium board at Hawkeye Report.

I saw his tweet to you where he said that. I about fell out of my chair knowing that Matt's "sources" were nothing more than posters on a pay board.

I seen the same tweets he sent to you shada. Talk about irresponsible journalism or I guess commentating by him. A message board, that's your source. Yikes.

If you are on the radio every day you have a responsibility to check your facts. You are a journalist first. Accuracy is paramount. Be courteous to your guests. Be professional. Try to stay neutral.

I guess that doesn't sell anymore. It is a shame
