To be or not to be....

Here is something to ponder! Capt. Kirk has always been known for, when he has a game under control and won, he will call off the dogs and be happy with the win. I understand and applaud his character however, based on the possibility of an undefeated season I believe this is one of those years that when and if we have a chance to put 40-50 point on the scoreboard we need to do it.

I hate style points but with the B. State, TCU scenario it may take that to get an NC Game if we actually can pull of the 12-0 season.

Now on the other hand if we can hold all our opponents to under 10 points that might be another way to get the job done.

I vote for 40 points per game while holding the opposition to under 10.

Pipe Dream?

If we are undefeated at that point in time, assuming it's not a scenario like last year with multiple teams in the mix we would go to the NC before TCU or Boise St. Can you imagine the noise the Big 10 would make if a team from this league didn't get the spot in that situation. Holy H3ll would unleash. Just my .02

I really think that Coach doesn't care. He has always had the attitude that if it happens great. He may be playing that line a little sly but I think he would rather get up early and get some PT for the 2nd and 3rd teamers. Always seems to be looking in the future. Working out so far.

Go Hawks!!

The back ups will play. Do we remember NW last year. Vandenberg had ZERO experience except for a series of handoffs at ISU and the offense died. Also, why risk an injury. Your up 28-0 and you roll Stanzi out and some DE rips up his ankle. Why even consider letting this happen? Plus our #2 O should be able to move the ball on EIU (not as efficiently, but still move it at least)

While I love blow-outs because they're low stress, I can't see KF doing this if the game is put away by the 3rd Quarter. It's not his style and he's said on multiple occasions that he doesn't believe in "Style Points"

Getting the twos reps in the early games only makes the team better for the late games. I say put the twos in as soon as you can and get them experience! As long as Iowa is beating teams it won't matter what the final score is (unless they need to blocked FGs to win)

I can see Kirk trying to put some more point on the board if he felt it would aid in his team's chances to get into the national title game. But I don't see it happening anytime before the last game or two of the season.
