...Will they move the basketball tourney to Chicago to make sure Indy doesn't have both of the major championships?

IMHO, if the conference stays at 12 teams, there will not be a championship game; it will be scheduled/played as it is now. Delany has always said it is not about a championship game.

The Big 10 has done just fine, thank you, without one. Frankly better, considering everyone has been saying how the Big 10 is no good, but some how we get two teams taking home BCS fairly frequently.

I see a championship game when the conference is done expanding. By then the BTN will be in more houses and the mere anticipation of that first champtionship game will help sell millions more in tix, cable subscriptions, and advertising.

Heck, maybe even a family of stations for BTN, much like ESPN. FOX is positioned to become a sports media giant.

I think it will be a three city rotation: Indianapolis, Detroit, and Minneapolis (if/when they build a new dome for the Vikings, the Big Ten title game will never be played at the HHH Dome).

I think it will rotate between Chicago & Indy. It will start in Indy to try to help ND in making a decision.

I doubt that with two, maybe three, reliable indoor options the Big Ten would risk the cold weather of Soldier Field. It could happen, and probably would if there were no indoor options, but I don't see it with multiple domes to play in. If the conference does consider outdoor options, how do Pittsburgh, Cleveland, and Cincinnati compare to Chicago?

Chicago would be awesome ... too bad the ******* McCaskeys rebuilt the stadium so freaking small
