IMHO, if the conference stays at 12 teams, there will not be a championship game; it will be scheduled/played as it is now. Delany has always said it is not about a championship game.
The Big 10 has done just fine, thank you, without one. Frankly better, considering everyone has been saying how the Big 10 is no good, but some how we get two teams taking home BCS fairly frequently.
I see a championship game when the conference is done expanding. By then the BTN will be in more houses and the mere anticipation of that first champtionship game will help sell millions more in tix, cable subscriptions, and advertising.
Heck, maybe even a family of stations for BTN, much like ESPN. FOX is positioned to become a sports media giant.
