Times Changing?

First of all I think its funny how Hawk fans complain we play it conservative but then we we put down the hammer they complain we are not being conservative.

Second are the times starting to change? Is Kirk and KOK going to start letting the hammer down more often or was this just a one time thing? I mean calling timeouts at the end of the first half and leaving the starters in at the end of the game? What is everyone's thoughts?

If it were anyone but Ferentz on our sideline, I would have said that the timeouts were just kind of a joke about last week, because they really didn't serve much purpose. I did get excited at first because I thought maybe we were going to put DJK or somebody like that back deep and go for the big return.

I hope this wasn't a one-time thing. It probably is, but I hope not. This team is capable of doing this week in and week out. I say turn them loose.

I thought they were more "loose" today than I can ever recall a KF team. A handful of things gave me this impression, but at the forefront of my mind include:

the McNutt reverse pass
notice the offense getting up to the line and getting ready to run a play after a questionable/objectionable/reversible Herman catch?
leaving the starters in (longer than most of the people I watched the game w/ wanted)
repeatedly changing up the LBs...over and over and over, including the overall D.

And I'm f'ing liking it. Let the players play!

What about the Sash pitch? I was like, "KF isn't going to like that!" The team was definitely looser. It was fun to watch. Kind of like the difference between Lick ball and Fran ball.
