Time for a new term?: Sports Critic

Watching this whole coaching search unfold with all the second, third, fourth guessing and now the immediate knee-jerk freakout at the apparent departure of Fuller and Larson...I was thinking it's time for a new term

Obviously most of us are truly "Fans" of the Hawks with deep passion and strong opinions. Cool. And simply challenging a strategy or decision doesn't make you any less of a fan...in many ways it demonstrates one's emotional investment in the team. (Fan is after all, short for Fanatic)

But there seems to be a segment who's support pales in comparision to their desire to complain and second guess everything up to and including what Barta had for breakfast.

I bring you...the "Sports Critic".

I think it just feels like a shot in the gut time and time again. I am hoping that these latest losses are for the best and Fran's situation is different from the likes of player losses under Lickliter and Alford. I was just really hoping we did not have to hear the word transfer and loss anytime soon under Fran. And, all indications (maybe except Fuller) was everyone was on board for next year.

I would just like the basketball program to be stable and without controversy for a change.

Agreed. But stablity doesn't happen overnight. A "settling" period of sorts, is normal and unfortunately transfers are often part of that.
