Tim Miles Blocks his Team from Using Facilities after Hawkeye Smackdown

Subsequent to the Cornholer Nation giving up on Bo Pelini, as the next Bear Bryant,
the Cornholers were ready to anoint Miles as the next Wizard of Westwood.

How's that working out for Lil Debbie??

I wouldnt write off Nebby anytime soon. They have two 4-star recruits coming in next year including Isaiah Moss's current teammate Ed Morrow Jr.

Timmy trying to be the new Bobby Knight?

Dick to his team; public harangue; ugly sweater ... a couple chair chucks and choke outs and he'll be the General's doppleganger.

I actually really like Miles. Told a friend of mine who's a "realistic " nebby fan that the worst thing he did was have that crazy run last year. The fans here are so unrealistic it's crazy. Miles will have them competitive though, guy can recruit and coach.

I also think Miles is a good coach, good guy and will field good teams in the future.

That being said, how many posters were just slobbering over him last year when they had a strong run with the weakest schedule (played all the bottom feeders twice) in the B1G? Yes, then bounced first round of the big dance.

Miles is a class act. He has top notch facilities and a large readymade fan base with no competition for their attention. I'll be surprised if he doesn't succeed in making the dance in the next 3 years.

I thought petteway played selfish ball and he didnt care when he was mounting up turnovers. He had some teammates wide open and didnt pass the ball.Except for a 5 minute time in the first half that team looked like Iowa in the last ten minutes of both the ISU and MSU games, resigned.

My thoughts exactly. He didn't have a very good roster last year and exceeded expectations. Because of that, the so called experts were chirping about their potential this season and it got many Nebbie fans excited and altered their perception away from realistic expectations. They have a pretty nice class coming in and brand new facilities. They don't have much of a basketball tradition though and that will take time. I'd say he has at least 2 years left to prove his worth barring a complete meltdown from the fan base.

Steve Czaban was talking about it on Yahoo Sports radio this morning.
Hour 3 of his podcast.

They can't sneak up on anyone this year. I wondered how Nebraska would handle higher expectations and the answer is...not very well. I do think they will be better when Petteway is gone. Selfish players kill team chemistry.

Not sure this would motivate me as a player.
And as a coach he shouldn't have to motivate you to play.

He's probably tried everything else to motivate and they still looked like they didn't want to play.

Taking toys away from kids is a good way to get them to do what they're supposed to do.

Last year they won 8 of their last 9. This year they probably have to win the home finale against MD to win 2 of their last 11.

Huskers locker room features iPads in every locker, a kitchen, a state-of-the-art sound system, a pool table, a plasma video wall, heated towel racks, iPod plug-ins in the showers, leather lounge chairs and a smoothie bar.
Features like this could make your team "soft."

These poor, poor athletes. If only we could pay them to make up for taking advantages of these athletes.

Imagine what the football team gets, being that Nebraska is a football school.

When Miles first arrived, he walked through the new locker rooms and saw a mess. The players were coming in, leaving trash all over the place, towels on the floor for someone else to pick up, and basically acting like teenagers. So, the first day he had the team together, he made them run. And run. And run.

It definitely got the attention of the players, but it also showed the fan base there was a new sheriff in town, which they desperatly needed.
