Threatening AIRBHG Again No!!!!

I am starting to remember that I like the taste of Koolaid.....

Hard to not to have renewed hope, at least a little.

"Baby steps are more likely to happen on offense. Look for Weisman and Bullock to line up in the same backfield together, but not always in the traditional I-formation where Weisman plays fullback. It’s time for Davis to get more creative with Weisman and Bullock because the offense can’t afford to have one of them posing little threat or no threat at all while standing on the sideline."

TOTALLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! BINGO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Folks, he nailed right there in that paragraph.

This White character has a lot to learn about how Iowa rotates RB's.

There is no two headed monster. It is run the first guy until hurt then insert someone new and repeat...

Just wondering but why is everybody so high on Bullock and not Canzeri? I thought Canzeri would be the speedster of the group.

I can't wait to see what canzeri will do. He is now listed 5'9 and 190+...we saw that he wasn't afraid to go between the tackles when he was 170...20 extra lbs is making his build seem more and more like fred russell.

I know they are called running backs and fast runners are great but to be good anymore you have to have power and agility first. If you can run but not take a hit you are going nowhere fast. I find the backs people hype as speedsters just get banged up and never reach the hype. Give me 100 straight Mark Weismans is what I say.

Ok, but they are the backs that get hurt a lot. If they run Weisman 20 times a game or more, you know he'll get hurt at least once this season. Speed kills. Give me speed.

I am all for a good one two punch power and speed but when I NEED yards I want a guy like Mark or Shonn with the ball.

Oh my goodness. I don't mean to pile up on ya, but don't compare Weisman to Greene. Maybe compare him to Owen Gill. Yeah, I know I'm going way back with that comment; but it doesn't seem to me all that long ago that Gill played, even though it has been about 27 years? Now I am feeling very old. Gee whiz.

I have to agree. Greene and weisman are not on the same level. Greene had the combo of power, quickness, and speed. Weisman has power and sounds like he is developing better quickness. But let's see him at least finish a yr and put up 1500 yds before we even mention him with greene...btw that would be 300 yds short of greene's season of greatness.

I don't think I really stuck them side by side with my comparison but they have some similar traits and play styles. Mark out ran a couple entire D's but unfortunately he does not have the stamina Shonn did for sure and got brought down before scoring. I just like how they both are not afraid to take the first hit and even try to give the first hit. Not saying MW will ever have SG like numbers at all.

Fricking Harty.

Only one of the combination of Weisman, Bullock, and Canzari will still be on the team come the season opener. Barkley Hill will get the start against Iowa State. Akum Wadley will be starting by week 5.

Another year, and another roomer of change to this team. The head coach is the same and the OC carries over from a year that had little change.

I am sure they are capable of change, but at this point with KF at helm I will believe when I see it. I will truly believe it when I see it ran more than once and past the first game.
