Thoughts on Week 1

Were playing a veteran team in Tenn Tech that runs a spread.

You think having a bit of a challenge in week 1 is good or is it better to play a vanilla team that we can crush more easily?

Dont get me wrong we will win and win easily but I expect TT to get a few big plays and rack up some decent yards (not points however).

With it being a spread team it's really tough to guess how the early part of the game will go. Obviously Iowa's defense is easy to game plan, and our defense will be green at the LB position and Secondary.

But even if we do struggle a little early, I think our offense most likely controls the time of possession keeping the defense off the field.

But I wouldn't be shocked to see a Montana type game either

Kinda thinking about doing a hot dog bar with chili, cheese, relish, onions, kraut, etc.

Although Maybe i'll do breakfast burritos as those are usually a big hit.

I like the idea of the hot dog bar, but would you mind including some brats and Italian sausage too? Also, to go along with the Italian sausage, sauteed peppers & onions (with garlic, pepper flakes, and maybe a dash of red wine) are really tasty.
PM me your tailgate location. I will bring many beverages to share. You will like me - I always shower the morning of gameday.

I'll take it into consideration.

After the UNI game I was sitting in class with a friend whose a Nebraska fan, and he was giving me grief about the game. I responded by saying Iowa would be undefeated when NW comes to town, lose then lose again to OSU. He laughed and said it would be funny to happen. The friday before the NW game I looked at him at was like "this is where the run ends."

Basivally my point is that Week 1 may not resemble the season at all. I still think we handle Tenn Tech easily. I think our defense has more speed on it than past teams.
