Thomas Hartlieb

Is his dad the former Iowa QB? If so I hope he has inherited all of his dad’s genes.

His Dad is Jim Hartlieb, Chuck's younger brother. Played at Iowa from 89-92. Lives in Madison. Smallish DB, probably a walk on.

and Jim was a very good up and coming qb until he injured his shoulder getting hit diving for a loose ball. similar to drew brees type injury while with the chargers. jim had good wheels and a good arm.

The worst part about this is he waited a long time behind Matt Rodgers. Then when the spot was finally his, he got hurt. Jim played well when Rodgers missed time in 1991. 1992 would have been better than 5-7 had he been able to stay healthy.

That's good to know. Chuck was only 6'1 and while I don't remember how tall Jim was it doesn't appear that Thomas is equal to that task.

I feel better seeing that he is a defensive back.

Three Hartlieb brothers, Chuck, Jim amd John played for Hayden and the Hawks. A fourth brother, Andy, played defensive end or linebacker for Wisconsin. Kind of a direct reverse of the Bohannon family.
