Why wasn't this suppose to happen? His contract with the University is subject to public record laws.

It's a pretty fair deal, shouldn't be to many complaints. If we want a good coach we're gonna have to pay the going rate. the incentives are a nice add on to give some motivation!! maybe should have offered more to get us in a tourney in the first 3 years(it'd be worth it).

I would have thought we were paying him more. Seems kind of low imo. A 2.5% bonus if we make the NCAA, bfd. I know the coaches don't need a monetary incentive to be driven to win but wouldn't you think that we could at least pony up $100k to make the tournament in yr 1-3? If we make it during the first 3 yrs it will be nothing short of a miracle....

...and I'd anticipate that when (not if) Fran gets us back in the Win column with NCAA tourney appearances, he'll get a nice extension including a raise.
