We just got a win that no one was expecting. Having this signiture win will probably get us in the tourney with one less win than we would have needed with a loss tonight. In essence it was like we got 2 wins tonight. Man it feels good to be on the right side of a close game finally!

GREAT win, to be sure but it merely makes up for 0-fer in NYC. Not to mention, a late season swoon against Penn St, Indy and NwU will quickly erase this one from the comittee's memory.
Hawks just need to take care of business by beating who they should, pick off ISU, UNI and split with Wisky and Nebby and they'll be fine.

Coming into season I thought we would beat Cal at MSG after losing to Texas.
But this scenario is way better. Our 2 losses are against a damn good Texas team and although I'm not sure Syracuse is great, just the name carries a ton of weight. So the losses aren't bad at all and a signature road win.
i'm about ready to change my mind about Iowa dancing... But not just yet. I still want to see the guard play we saw tonight continue out of Clemmons and Mikey and want to see Ogelsby and Jok to provide some sort of value.
