THIS was big

Seriously? A battle of the lower tier programs. Big is beating a team from in the Middle to upper level.

Sorry I just disagree with the "THIS was big" statement. This was a nice win for Iowa nothing more.

Wasn't Indiana 3-3 in Big 10 play prior to the game? They won the last two also, if I heard correctly. Considering the limited number of Iowa players and the youth, yeah, I would say it was big. :D

i would say that breaking a 2-year long road losing streak is a pretty big deal. if you don't see the substantial improvement and player development that has taken place over the last month, you aren't paying attention. it's too bad because you're missing out on what has become a really fun team.

Fair Enough. However the Big Ten season isn't made up of 6 games. Indiana will finish where everyone thought they would in the Lower Level when the season is over.. :D

Fair Enough.

I measure things differently. Wins or Penn State and Indiana isn't part of that measurement. :D

You can downplay it all you want. With a young team learning to play and win on the road is always big.

The Hawks aren't going to be contending for the upper half of the Big10, but there has been a substantial improvement in this team from the beginning of the year.

Yeah, are there any F-ball wins that you would like to take away too? How about UNI? You know, Iowa had to block 2 field goals. Maybe the team should have turned down the Orange Bowl because of that game?

Yeah, if Indiana had beaten Iowa they would have been tied for third in the big 10. Since when is tied for third, lower tier in the big 10 nearly half way thruough???

Big win, glad the road losing streak is over and LOL at anyone thinking this wasnt important, they wont be pleased ever apparently

How many expected a road win this year? How many expected to beat a Big Ten team by 15? It's not the best win ever but it's a pretty good win considering the circumstances. IU has also played pretty well at home so it's nice to go in there and beat them.

I just pray Iowa continues with this momentum and keeps playing well. Teams know we can play decently now so were going to see teams up their level against us now. Hopefully we can respond.

when you're in a plane that's about to crash into a mountain, pulling up on the yoke and avoiding a crash is a big deal. sure, there's a lot more to be done, but would you rather be on the way to your destination or in a flaming wreckage?

Wake up HawkPredator - Iowa is getting better. Man, are you negative - get behind this young team and be a real fan Wednesday by showing up for the game.

Haha +1

Exactly! Is Indiana a top tier Big-10 team? Probably not. But from where we've been beating a team on the road who has won against Pitt, Michigan, Minnesota, @Penn St, who took Wiscy to OT in Madison today btw, is a big step. Especially leading almost the entire game and winning by 15.

I'm behind the team 100%. Good win today.

Been to 3 games this season... However the 3 hour and 15 minute drive limits me. Weds I will be in Orlando, Fla on Business. Will be watching if I can though..:D

Keep in mind we have a roster full of young players. A road win like this will build their confidence and is something that we can build on. I agree that Indiana probably won't be in the top half at the end of the big ten season but from an emotional perspective for our young players to build confidence on it can be considered a big win.
