This Season Is NOT OVER!

I'm sick of everybody saying that this season is over! Yeah we lost last night, but you know what we came out ready in the 2nd half and showed up.Our offensive line got way to tired at the end of the game because they were on the field practically the whole entire game. Our secondary really struggled we miss Norm. Lets look ahead out of our next 5 Games we play 4 ranked oppents in Penn State, Michigan, Wiscy, Mich St. Lets win and get to 9-1 before Ohio State..I truely think we will learn from this considering we thought we were soooo good. If Iowa beats Penn State, Mich, Wiscy, mich st I think We will be right back where we were with a top 8 ranking and then beat a goood ohio state game and Head to the Rose Bowl vs Zona. This wasn't Stanzi's Fault he played superb. Mcnutt should have cought that bowl that was taken to the house
 
I know the season is over and I already had us down for 2 losses before the start of the season, but after tonight I am going to put that at 4 losses. I see OSU, Mich, and NW. Pat Fitzgerald has to love what he saw from our OLine. Goodbye Stanzi.
 
Yeah. We got taken out of our gameplan before our gameplan could get achieved. we were a better team then what we played like last night. The worst thing is our national perspective took a hit

The Big10 "SEASON" we need to win starts in two weeks.

We are lucky to have a nice rebound game next weekend to work through demons and rebuild confidence.

We are good enough to beat every team on our schedule and probably be favorites against all but one. We have the "better" teams at home. We have a good coaching staff that will use this loss to make us better.

We will be OK.
 
IF and that is a BIG if our Oline can make drastic improvements, and we can develop a better blitz pickup plan, and if we can cut out on those once in a lifetime bonehead mistakes, then we can take the schedule. If not then we are outback bound.

How can you HONESTLY go from picking them 10-2 to 8-4 after ONE game. I'm not saying that 8-4 isn't possible, but ONE game. And really, ONE quarter. That game was over before it started. You can't make a season prediction from ONE loss.

DIdn't you learn anything from last year? You can't make assumptions about ONE game.

I learned that this Oline need a lot of work and it wasnt just from one quarter. We could not run at all during the game. Thats why I said in an earlier posts that If our Oline can come together then we will improve significantly.

I'm with you on this. And in 2004, who would have thought that the Hawks would have shared the Big Ten title after that 44-7 drubbing @ASU? The trademark of Ferentz' teams is that they improve throughout the year. I have faith that this will still be a good season. And maybe Arizona is a little better than everyone expected. Let's see how things play out.
 
Depends on how you define "season". If you define it as the season that we hoped would bring us our first national title, it's over.

I'm not going to get into childish arguments with someone I can't see face to face, but I'm questioning your football IQ.

You are right that our running game looked pathetic. But, you can't expect to RUN the ball when you get down 3 scores in the first half. Iowa's pass game hinges on a productive run game. It sets up so many things, such as play action. The lack of running game was more about the need to throw the ball early.
