I got laid off two weeks ago. Maybe it was a blessing in disguise.

I am glad the tourney starts today. A chance to escape from all of this coaching search stuff for a little bit.

I've been laid off since January, and this coaching search has been terrific! I've tried to be a better Iowa b-ball fan for years (I was a huge fan, but lost interest around '02). This search and hope for an exciting coach has rejuvenated my fandom for the b-ball team.

I once lived and breathed Iowa BB.. Lute's final4 team is my earliest Iowa memory. Sadly, I've gone weeks this year where I didn't even look for a box score... NOW.... I'm excited again! I'm like a dog that gets beat... always coming back with fresh hope.

Well, you could still go get a vasectomy today. From another thread it looks like that's a popular operation around this time of the basketball season. (Or at least you could tell your boss that's your excuse -- would assume they wouldn't ask you to show proof!)
