This is the Iowa Football program

Deep breath.....feels good.

Thank you for sharing, Jon. Great to read stuff like that.

These Hawkeyes are who I thought they were.

Wait? What are you insinuating Jon? I've been away from the board for 18 hours. You mean the Iowa Football program isn't a bunch of drugged-out, lazy, under achieving convicts? I'm so confused.

Great story, thanks for sharing.

So you're letting them off the hook?

I don't want to put words in anyone's mouth, but this is my guess. Below is a quote from Jon's OP...

It almost seems to say that because these guys are good guys who do nice things, they aren't also failing drug tests and are only linked to failed drug tests due to a rumor.

Thus, the fact that DJK could be signing autographs while also failing drug test proves that the two aren't mutually exclusive.

/shot in the dark

Your words are my words.

I didn't mean to take away from a great story, one of many with regards to the Hawkeye football team.

That doesn't mean anything regards to extra curricular activities.

People can paint pictures how ever they so feel.

I know what I know. Hope it's over...

Again, this stuff happens all of the time. Yet, some buy into any nasty rumor, and want to believe that half a football team is failing drug tests.

Do college kids make poor choices? No doubt. Some worse than others.

But do the vast majority of these kids make good choices? Yes. And do a lot of these players understand at a younger age than most of us the value and responsibility of giving back? Bet on it.

Wait, so you're saying that if someone did fail a drug test that they are incapable of moral behavior?

I know lots of people who do drugs who volunteer, get excellent grades, are early for work, and are just great people in general. Teachers, police, nurses, doctors, bartenders, servers, computer engineers, civic engineers, and professional athletes.

People should be judged by the quality of their actions, not the quality of their ****.

Thanks for sharing Jon! Forward this to your buddy Travis - who doesn't think there are any leaders on the team.
