This is the Bubble

Obviously a lot can happen in the last 4 regular season games, and in conference tournaments, but this is the Bubble as of today.

LAST 12 IN (Best to Worst)
West Virginia
Iowa State
Purdue
Alabama
BYU (huge game vs. Gonzaga on Thurs.)
Washington
Miss. State
Xavier
NorthWestern (tonight vs. UM)
Cinncinatti
UConn
Seton Hall

LAST 12 OUT
Miami
Texas
NC State (UNC tonight at home, if they can win they move IN)
Arizona
Illinois
Minnesota
St. Joes
Central Florida
South Florida
Colorado State
Oregon
VCU

As you can see, the last 12 Out is NOT an impressive list.

This is also the bubble.

After beating St. Mary's, Murray State is a near lock if they are upset in their Conference tournament. If Harvard doesn't win their conference tournament, they are most likely IN with wins over Florida State and Central Florida on a neutral court.

Color me shocked that Illannoy is still even on the last 12 out list. They should not even be in the discussion in their current state of affairs.

Illannoy probably won't even make the NIT, They are 5-9 in the B10 right now, and finish up playing at OSU, at Wisky, and at home versus Iowa and scUM. They probably finish 6-12 in the B10.

They still have a 69 rpi and they beat OSU,MSU, and gonzaga. Half of their losses are to teams that are currently ranked in the top 25. They would need to get to 8-10 to be considered IMO.

Those were pretty much my thoughts exactly, and if thats the case would have finished 1-9 in their last 10. Not a good end to the season.
You would also have to consider that they may chose not to play in the NIT, CBI, etc without a coach in place (assuming they fire Weber obviously).

Illinois and NC State have been removed. Dayton & Drexel enter the board. If Iowa gets to 19 wins i think they are IN.

Purdue is looking kind of bubbly right now. They are 17-10 and 7-7. Remaining tough games at Michigan and Indiana. Lose both of them plus an early exit from tourney and they are 19-13. RPI 52.

Minnesota has some work to do. They are 17-10 and 5-9. Remaing games MSU, Indiana, Neb at home and at Wisconsin. Probable record is 19-13 also. RPI 72.

I think Purdue in and Minnesota out.

I don't like woulda, coulda, shoulda but Iowa losing to PSU, NEB and Purdue really hurt. The Hawks could be 17-10 and 9-5. That would put them tied with Wisky for 4th. Alas, but we are getting there.

You are right. The bubble is weak this year. I don't really know who I would put ahead of them. There will probably be a few upsets in conference tournaments that would pop a few of the bubble teams bubbles.

Unless Iowa wins the BTT, there is no way Iowa makes the NCAA tournament. Going into yesterday's games Iowa's RPI ranking was 138.

Please note that the Hawks' RPI ranking dropped with the victory over Indiana. Going into the weekend, Iowa was ranked 130.

The crappy non-conference schedule outweighed the win over the Hoosiers. To even be considered a bubble team Iowa needs to get into the top 70 in RPI ranking. With Iowa's non-conference schedule, it ain't gonna happen. Heck, the Hawks are considered a bubble team for the NIT.

Get over it.

Get over what? Iowa's RPI did not drop after beating Indiana. Iowa wil still have to win 5 games which would mean their RPI will definitely be less than 100.

Look at the the last 12 in, some of the RPI's are in the 70's and 80's. Cincinnatti is considered IN by most sources, and they have an 80 RPI. RPI is not as accurate since they changed the formula in 2004.

I know some mouth breathers such as yourself need Joe Lanardi to tell you who is a bubble team. Unless there are multiple upsets in the mid-major tournaments, there will be teams that get an at large bid with an RPI of 70+ in the tournament.

ISU is being picked as anywhere from a 9-11 seed. That's not bubble material. If ISU loses tonight, you can talk bubble. Until then, no.

Iowa has to win the next 4 and make some noise in the B1G tournament to get in to the dance....and maybe ot even then. We have got 13 losses already.

ISU is solidly in right now. But you do understand the the 16-13 seeds will be automatically occupied by the mid-major conference winners right? Do the math, oh wait you went to ISU right. In my projection as the 2nd team of the Last 12 IN, that puts them at a 9 seed.

ahahahahhahahahahahahh 9-11 seeds are bubble teams azzclown.

Oh, so only the first 32 teams are solid? Makes perfect sense that 33 and on are bubble teams only. The only place I've seen ISU mentioned as a bubble team in recent weeks is on HN. Strange, right?

If you don't like facts, go away. There are 37 at large bids. I put them at the top of my last 12 in list and you still cry. Winner of the ISU vs. KSU game is a lock.
