I think Jon and Deace are onto something about the benefit of hiring a coach who plays at least a little more uptempo because the league is so used to preparing for plodding hoops.

I think MN playing 4 games in 4 days and OSU playing 3 games (including a double OT game) with a 6 man rotation has some tired legs out there already.

Seems like there's been quite a few games in the 50's all over the CBB landscape this tournament season...it's not just a Big10 thing, but it certainly does seem to rear its ugly head everytime there's a national TV audience, for sure.

When ESPN has the tournament in a couple of years, I hope they don't go to commercial for every single timeout.

CBS does these games like they're NFL games.

Yeah, the Big East had the Providence game in the 100's, and then the scores kept getting lower as the tourney went forward. WVU really tries to ugly the game up and ND changed their style for low scoring games. It's not just a Big 10 thing, but it would be interesting to see a Big 10 team up the tempo and see how it would work over the course of the season.

A coach like that could come in and be competitive right away with next year's players, IMO...not compete for the league title that is, but flirt with a .500 record in league.

I watched the entire SEC tournament championship game this morning and turned it over to the Big Ten tourney and it ended up being a snooze fest....

really I just woke up from my nap.
