Things that need to be accepted

A lot of human beings thrive on drama and misery, but if we as Hawkeye fans want to enjoy this incredible season there are a few things that have to be accepted:

Whether its disrespect, not believing in the team, hate, fear of being wrong or simply not being a favorite "name" team, most of the national media wants no part of Iowa being in the national championship hunt. Seriously, Terry Bradshaw? I'm sure that he had nothing better to do on a Saturday that watch Iowa - Indiana as he was claiming. Nothing is going to change those opinions, so why get ****** off about them? We need to enjoy this unprecedented success without any strings.

We are incredibly lucky to have an outstanding coach from the NFL. Coach Ferentz also brings an NFL mindset to our program, which is one of the big reasons that it is so successful. It also means that he could give a rip less about anything about games other than winning them. There are no "style" points in the NFL, any coach would be ecstatic about winning every game by one point. Again, nothing that anyone can do will change his mindset, so all the complaining in the world will only make you miserable. If you don't like our coaching style, approach or whatever (especially when we are 9-0) go be a Cyclone or Husker fan. It may not make you happy, but it will sure help the rest of us.

Those are so cold, hard realities that some Hawkeye fans need to consider if they want to save themselves years of misery. It is incredible to me that any fan of the Hawks cannot enjoy this season for what it is and the potential that Iowa has in the future.

Go Hawks!
