There will be an unprecented SUMMER Iowa football interview...

session on June 29th...we'll be there...players available for interview:

Ricky Stanzi, Adrian Clayborn, Tyler Sash, Brett Greenwood, Ryan Donahue, Brett Morse, Riley Reiff, Christian Ballard, Karl Klug, Allen Reisner, Jeremiah Hunter and Adam Robinson

In my 11 years doing this, I can't recall such a thing. There have been a lot of requests to speak to the players, so they are bringing them all out at once due to the logistical challenges of having the players talk to individual media outlets.

Will be a good change...I'll be there with camera in tow.

Was just thinking the same thing- maybe DJK is back in his annual summer doghouse with the coaches.

While I'll undoubtedly read it, I don't think you should expect that this is anything but a "press practice" for the season, and that it won't produce anything but the standard cliche answers:

Q: What do you think about your chances this season?
--Well, we are coming to play, but it’s going to be a real battle out there. We both want it and it’s just going to come down to who wants it more.

Q: Will X be ready to go today?
--X is always ready to go. This game is in his blood and it would take an act of God to keep him off the field. He’s a gamer.

Q: What are your chances for going all the way this year?
--On paper we’re as good as anyone else. It just comes down to staying healthy and keeping focused. I don’t make predictions, but I can tell you this. We’ll be competitive.

Q: Can you come back from that injury that sidelined you last season?
--I’ve been working with the best personal trainers around. I’ve never been stronger or felt healthier. I’m ready to play.

All that said... I'm extremely jealous.

I would bet it's more of a precautionary thing. DJK has done better about keeping his mouth quiet lately. But, his time in the "doghouse" was more for his poor downfield blocking than his mouth. Anybody else notice the huge improvement in his blocking when he regained his starting spot? I sure did.

maybe the coaches couldn't decide so this is a tryout for heading to Chicago for the Big 10 thing.

This takes place in the practice facility, in Kinnick...somewhere else?

Well thanks for spoiling it for us.;) You forgot "we'll do fine if we just take it one game at a time".
