The Wave

This makes me proud to be a Hawkeye. This. I'd love a national championship in football or basketball more than about anything not related to my family. But i will take this. I will take a coach that has this kind of character, this kind of heart, this kind of loyalty. This says more about Iowans than a championship. Yes, I'd love a championship. But I'll take great people first.

KF is a coach that carries himself professionally on and off the field!! I'm 48 and I've been fortunate to have had 2 quality/Class Coaches in Fry and Ferentz roaming the Kinnick Sidelines. Like Fry, I think KF has earned the right to walk away when he sees fit.. The Reality is and some don't like hearing this on this message board, but Iowa is a 7-5 an 8-4 yearly team with the occasional 10 or 11 win team season.

I am very proud to be a Hawkeye Fan. This is a great tradition that has griped not only the college football world but the entire world. The Wave is up for a global award also. I would also like to mention 2 names. Billy Price from Ohio State and Saquon Barkley from Penn State. I read an article that both of these young men talked about the wave and I came away with a great sense of pride with what The Wave has meant not to just Hawk fans but the fans and players from around the B1G.

Cool story. A suggestion for any of you close to a childrens hospital: Have a group from your church or work or a group of friends come in to a Ronald McDonald House and cook an evening meal for the families there.

That also is a cool thing. Parents get tired and exhausted and its heartwarming.

Can't help but notice certain people stay away from this thread. Regardless what you think of him as a coach something like this should cut right through that.
