Iowa is lacking a true pg, center, and upperclassmen leadership.
The pg problem will be solved next year. Gesell has a high basketball IQ and very competitive attitude. I saw him play the other night and he is like a bulldog, very relentless. Gesell is quicker than any guards Iowa has now and the elevation on his jumper is great, will be able to shoot over bigger players. Marble will become even better on the wing with Gesell running the point.
Center has been a problem for years. Gabe needs more minutes the rest of the year or else he should have redshirted. I don't know what the recruits are like but they can't be any worse than what Iowa has now.
The leadership will come when these sophs are seniors (I hope). Someone needs to tell Basabe that we are team and we wear the same shooting shirt before the game.
I hope Josh and Gabe get more minutes from here on out.
