The time is growing near

the human missle. Played w/out any thought of injury. Wreckless abandon (spelling). No one even wanted Bob out of h.s.

That's still my favorite Scothawk production. The hit on that kickoff gives me a shiver every time. Video was a little better with LL Cool J, though.

So I was just checking Bob Sanders' Wikipedia page (wondering how old he is, exactly), and there is literally zero information on there about his time at Iowa. It skips from his time in high school to his time in the NFL. This needs to be rectified ASAP. If no one volunteers, I can look in to doing this righteous task, but it has to happen.

When Bob was on the field the opposing offense's shuddered. Some of the moments I remember are the Penn State game, (and others) where Bob hit guys so hard their helmet's flew off. The Michigan game, where the WR's were scared to catch the ball
(2002?)
Bob's small in stature but with him Iowa's defense was really feared. So much fun to watch.

That 2000 game when he was a freshman against Wisconsin he really showed what he could be. Then he had another good game that season again Northwestern.

A star was born the next year. That Indiana game was just a epic show by Sanders.

How cool was it to look at Bob Sanders as a soph and already know he was going to be one of the greats in our lifetime?

I can remember being at Kinnick and it seemed like the crowd was focused on him on D more than the ball. Everyone had their eyes on bob and just waited for his hits. just a treat to watch him. he was just so so physical. beast out there. layed it on the line all the time

I hope he can get a couple healthy years in San Diego. He is still a game changer when he is on the field.
