The Three M's

Sounds like Mel has bulked up which should help him to be even more aggressive around the boards.

It should be the Four M's... Counting May.

Interesting that it says that Basabe ended last season at only 208lbs... That's a huge increase going to 234! He will be a different player. Everyone should be. I'm ready to get this season started!

Hopefully it doesn't hurt Mel's conditioning.

Except they were talking about the development of the sophomores.

Or 5 (Matt, Mel, McCabe, Marble, May)
The M&M's ?

holy crap 208??? Crazy he was so effective at that weight. 234 is huge! Can't wait to see how this transforms his game.

Its a little misleading, 208 was his year end weight. If I remember right he started the year around 220-225. So his starting weight for the year is up around 10 pounds

If this is wrong someone correct me...just going off what I remember reading somewhere

That is correct. The key to the weight is the body fat percentage from when he was a freshmen to where he is now. If his body fat percentage right now is less than or even equal to where it was at 208 lbs then the difference is going to be very significant as far as improved strength and quickness this year. This could be fun to watch.
