Saw it happen 4 times today.
Team is ahead or behind right at say under 12 min tv timeout- team hits three - immediate timeout.
It burned two of these geniuses, as it then left them with 1 or 2 TO left going into under 4 stretch run.
No reasoning for it that I’ve been able to discern other than “Hey it really makes the coach look like he’s got it all figured out.”
