The Positives from the Loss

1. Mike Gesell helluva game. He has impressed me the last couple of games and showed it again tonight. So much stronger and more comfortable going to the hoop. His defense has also taken another step recently, he has been applying more pressure and not getting beat without fouling. The future looks bright for him.

2. Olaseni is having himself a nice couple of weeks and has confidence we haven't seen from him before. He still got out of position on defense towards the end of his minutes but there is no denying his ability and potential. With him and Woodbury improving like they are, there is no reason to play anyone else but these two at the 5 unless there is foul trouble.

3. Anthony Clemmons produced a little bit down the stretch. He made a huge mid range jumper and it's nice to see him have a pulse again. He will be needed down the stretch of conference play.

Sorry, but outside of Mike and Gabe, I see zero positives from losing two in a row at home and playing your way out of title contention.

I really can't think of much more to add other than this team can maybe start to focus on winning games without the spotlight being on them. However, it will stand to reason they will go out and beat Michigan and get some hopes up only for them stumble again.

Gabe had a good game......he came to play and Mike did what he could. Man, it just sucks that we lost tonight. Hard to find the positive tonight.

The Hawks hit 60 percent of their 2-point shots and out-rebounded Ohio State 38 to 25.

Marble and Basabe didn't bring their games, and both made some bad turnovers, some unforced.

Worried about White not getting good shots and clanking wide open long shots.
