I'm thinking Iowa will be 2-1/2 to 3-1/2 favs.
Hawks have been taking care of business when fav - like 67% overall, 75% at home and 80% after a loss.
Illannoy as a road dog is 67%

Get this one and Hawks will have the best record (9-4) against Sagarin top50 teams in the country!

Think a packed Carver and the seasoned schedule (Hawks are 4-3 against ranked teams, Illannoy is 1-3) are gonna be key to squeaking out a great game, 87-82.

CRUCIAL game for keeping that seeding in the 4-6 range.

I don't know ... win or lose, I think they're gonna do what they do.
A win and they're prolly 5-5 / 6-4. A loss and they're prolly 4-6 / 5-5.
Biggest impact will be the seedings in the tournaments.

If we get some home love from the refs — even just a fairly called game — and Luka can stay in as long as Fran wants, we should be OK. Unlike the screw job at the Derps.
 
Iowa's favored by 5 right now, but I got a bad feeling about how we handle Cockburn. He plays as hard as he is big. It'll be interesting how Luka holds up to someone his size. Hopefully, Fran and his staff develop a great gameplan.

I've thought about the matchup against Cockburn as well. My hope is that Luka's experience will help him out and (hopefully) get him in foul trouble.....
 
Cockburn has been susceptible to fouling. Just get a couple on him early and make him sit. Can’t let him get some momentum because he appears to be a quicker than Garza. Garza needs to outthink him and use his experience vs. Cockburns quickness.
 
Game plan? Illinois is going to try and pound it inside and get Garza and Kreiner in foul trouble. The Illini is the worst in B1G in 3 pt. FG’s made. So expect them to try and drive the lanes. I think Iowa will pretty much do the same. Except I think we will be more successful shooting the three ball. We have the crowd and the home court advantage. We should (I hope) get a favorable foul call advantage from the refs. This can come down to who wins the FT line. Prediction: Iowa 76 Illinois 69
 
Get Cockburn in foul trouble early and put our best defender (who that is I'm not sure) on Ayo.
