The morning after

The morning after one of the worst days at Kinnick I'm still pissed

A few points I've noticing

No one (including me) thought we'd lose yesterday. Coaches chose to rest Daniels and welsh and we didn't get Akrum enough touches and find any back that can pass block

Our d line is a liability. Need to get more push from our d ends.

The fans who sold tickets to ndsu fans played a part in the loss as did the crappy fan participation (again, including me).

Two good things......there weren't many but Nate Stanley looked good and our kickers seem solid.

I have to think welsh and Daniels will make a big difference. Not sure what to think of our d line though. If we struggle with the run were in trouble.

Need to get back to work and come back strong next week

We can still have a great season. Coaches and players must do better, but honestly we do as fans too. Kinnick was weak yesterday. Hell I was weak. Everyone needs to do a better job.

Ive gotten so much better about not letting sports get to me. It sucked but it really doesn't affect me at all. Win em all or lose em all I'll be a fan for life.

I agree and it's why I rarely even visit the site anymore. Yesterday and Today just shows why it's not worth it, way to many jump off the ledge people. We have really great fans but we have lots of over the top ridiculious ones as well and I think many of them reside within HN. Sadly I think some can't wait for a wheel to fall off and pounce.

To the OP I didn't feel good about this game whatsoever! I honestly wasn't chalking up a win and I said it all through the week. People just shrugged it off. I travel to Fargo for Business and know some former players and have watch this team play over the past 6 to 7 years and NDSU could EASILY compete in the Big Ten!!

We got pushed around by a glorified high school team. It is very concerning. The fact that the coaches largely ignored Wadley is head scratching at best. The fact that the coaches were totally unprepared in obvious blitz situations is maddening. Everyone in the stadium knew they would be blitzing hard on what turned out to be our last offensive play when CJ got sacked. Except the coaches of course. And our defensive line hasn't been getting pressure on the quarterback at all this season, but do we blitz? Of course not! Let's just give their freaking quarterback all day to throw or run all over us. It pisses me off how unprepared our coaches are, and how they ignore obvious ways to shake things up. This is old Ferentz all over and I'm not supporting this bullshit play.

I thought the thread was about this: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0085404/

A graphic, disturbing film about the effects of a devastating nuclear holocaust on small-town residents of eastern Kansas.

Just substitute Eastern Iowa for Kansas and football defeat for Nuclear Holocaust.

U can watch it here and think Iowa football.

OP over analyzing it. Fact is the NDSU OL was bigger than our line and better. Honestly that was very Big and talented OL..

Their O-line was able to reach the second level. Our D-line couldn't do anything from stopping them from reaching Iowa's linebackers and safeties. Jewel did what he could, but he was a lone ranger(no pun intended) out there.

Funny you should say this I am already preparing myself if the Cubs do not win the World Series this year.
