Why would we have already offered Gregory? There's no way that all the interviews have been completed and you don't make an offer to someone when you haven't even completed all the interviews (unless his name is Bruce Pearl). Heck, we didn't even offer Stoops in football because we hadn't finished all the interviews.

Same thing with Marshall.

I don't buy for a minute that there's not a single successful "high major" head coach that doesn't at least want to interview for the job.

That rumor on HALO smells of trying to fan flames in order to get unjustified heat on Barta. I have little confidence in Barta myself, but even I'm not dumb enough to think that Barta is that dumb.

I do not believe for a second that an offer was already made to Marshall, Gregory, or any coach on that level. Not a chance.

I'm hoping you're right that the names we've seen in the Halo thread aren't Barta's complete list of finalists. I thought I read last night that there were more interviews coming after today as well, so who's to say that we won't be talking to any high-major HC's in the upcoming days.

Remember, some of those guys are still in the tournament, so I guess we wouldn't be interviewing those guys yet, either, until they are done.
